What is Radon?
Radon is a cancer causing, radioactive gas which you cannot see, smell or taste. Radon comes from the natural decay of uranium that is found in the soil.

The Surgeon General states that “breathing radon over long periods can present a significant health risk”. Thousands of people die each year from lung cancer, due to radon inhalation.
How does Radon enter my home?
Radon moves up through the ground to the air above and into your home through the cracks and other holes in the foundation, where it gets trapped inside your home.
What should I do if my home’s Radon levels are high?
It is recommended that you take action to reduce your home’s radon levels if the test result is 4 picocuries per liter or higher, by having your home mitigated.
